Cherrelle Gomez
Age 18

Personal Bio:
Two years ago, I came to Boulder Prep because up to that point I had pretty much given up on my education and almost settled for my GED. I knew in my heart that I was capable of a lot more and that if I did not graduate I would be giving up on my dreams and a chance to a more promising future. I had tried other high schools but they just did not work for me. I have a son who is two years old and being a parent, going to work and school seemed impossible to do. Despite my doubts, Boulder Prep gave me a chance to succeed. The principle and the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They gave me a chance to make all my dreams become a reality. I am graduating in the spring of 2003. I am very glad that I return to school because now I realize how important education is.
Quote:
“Consult not your fears, but your hopes and dreams. Think not about frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed at, but with what it is still possible for you to do." By: Pope John XXIII
Best Memory:
My best memory at Boulder Prep is when we do a penny for your thoughts right before graduation and we all sit in a circle and pass a penny jar around and tell people how we wish them the best of luck. .
